Just a short and sweet post here. I want to say a public congrats to my wonderful Husband who got a promotion yesterday!! We are so very proud of you Daddy!!!

Easter 2011

This Easter we decided that the Easter Bunny was out of the question. Dylan went BONKERS when he saw Santa... we knew he wouldn't be OK seeing the bunny!

We got him a Little Tykes basketball hoop and a tee ball set. He absolutely loves them. He gets the basketball and carries it around, tries to shoot it into the hoop, gives it to Mom or Dad to DUNK!:) He thinks the tee is supposed to be carried around like some sort of weight rather than hitting a ball off of it. But its all fun none the less!:)

We decided that it would be a good time to take some photos and get to know our camera a little better... we have had a great camera for almost 2 years and have yet to REALLY learn how to work it. I have sprinkled in some Easter photos by yours truly!:)

Crazy week!

This week started out with Dylan finally deciding to just take of running. Not walking, RUNNING! haha Of course its a baby run but its hilarious none the less.

The same night he started running around he woke me up at 10:30 with a terrible barking cough and he was wheezing. Since my brother had croup a lot as a kiddo, I immediately knew what was going on. I went digging in the basement for his pack and play (yes, at 11 PM!) and set the humidifier and the pack and play up in our room right next to me. He just kept crying and reaching his arms out for me. It really breaks your heart to know that your little baby is sick and there is nothing you can do!:( Scott took him to the Dr. the next morning and he was amazed that I diagnosed that all by myself! haha

Now that we are on the mend, we have more energy than ever! Scott and I bought him a basketball hoop and a tee ball set for Easter and of course we couldn't wait to give it to him.... so we set it up and its now his most favorite toy! He tries to "shoot hoops" but hes still a bit small. Hes a boy after his Momma's heart!:)

Baby Boy is a Model

Last weekend Dylan got his 1 year photos taken ((Major Props to Mrs. Jaime Lenhart... thank you for sharing your time and awesome photog skills with us)). Yes, I do realize that he is half way between 13 and 14 months... but there is only so much time in a day/week!

He was so well behaved! I could not be more proud of my little squirt. He had not taken a real nap 2 days in a row and it was really starting to show at the shoot. He was tired and all he really wanted was his Mommy to cuddle with him. ((He really is a Momma's boy! See he is reaching for me here!!))

I can not believe how time has just flown by! It seems like only yesterday that I was looking at my husband in shock that we were going to have a baby... and now we are approaching the 2 year anniversary of that date! I am just so proud of how much my little man has grown!

Being a Mommy is the best and yet the most trying job ever... but I would not trade it for the world!

Its been a while

Hello blog followers!:) It sure has been a while. Especially since my little boy is now ONE (thirteen months)!! He's crawling and "walking" and talking. I can not put into words how amazing it is to be a Mommy!

Dylan has learned so many great new words both from Mommy and Daddy and Miss Trish, his baby-sitter, and the other kids at Miss Trish's house. He says Hi, ut-oh, Daddy, Dad, Momma, Bobo (which is our dog and really comes out more like Doh-Doh), Thank you, excuse you, Sir and quite a few others that I am forgetting.

We have be blessed with such a wonderful little guy. Hes always all smiles, rarely cries and I think I can count the number of times since hes been born that he woke us up in the middle of the night. NO JOKE!

My goal is to update you all at least once a week, if I can!

The heart beat!

Last weekend we got to hear our little baby's heart beat! It was very scary at first because it took a while to find it. Scott and I were looking at each other in PANIC but Judy (a friend of the whole Hoopingarner family) assured us that its normal to take a while because that little turkey is small still. She said that it was approximately 160 BPM... that's into girls territory from what I understand!!! haha Take a look at the pictures for the fun!!!:)

Drs. Visit

On Thursday we went to the Dr. All the tests came out wonderfully she said and everything is looking great!:) Next appt in 3-4 weeks we will hear the heart beat at this appt. Then 3-4 weeks after that we will find out what little Baby Hoopingarner is... Boy or Girl!!!:) She kept my due date at 2-20-10 as well. We got to see our little Spicy Meatball as Scott likes to call it. (Because it really looks like 2 meatballs next to each other!haha) I will post the ultrasound photo below.

I am starting to feel MUCH better besides being hungry ALL THE TIME!!! haha:) But no more sicky which is WONDERFUL!:) More to come later.....

Feeling better!

Well, the news for the day is that for the last week or so I have been feeling A LOT better! Still tired but nothing near what it used to be. I have an appointment on Thursday where I will get to see the little one and hear its heart beat!! Scott and I are both SOOO excited for this! I will get my scanner up and going so you all can see the beautiful (or handsome) little bean as soon as possible!!:)

The Dr. visit!

Today I went to the Dr. and got all sorts of information on what I can eat, what I can't eat, what will help me from being sick constantly, what meds I can take and what ones I can't, etc. It really was educational!:) I also was given my EDD of Feb 20, 2010 (2-20-10). Thats a good date!:) That puts me at just over 7 weeks (8 weeks on Friday). Next appt is July 30th and I am told I will get to hear the heart beat!!!!!:) I am so excited for that!

I will keep you all updated on the info as it comes!:)

4th of July

I hope everyone had a wonderful, happy and safe 4th of July!

Scott and I decided it would be best not to brave the craziness of Red, White and BOOM! this year and chose to watch it from the comfort of our living room on television. I am very glad we did because I have been feeling pretty sick 24/7 lately. This baby really wants me to know he/she is in there!! haha. We did however take a trip a mile down the road last night to watch the Dublin Fireworks. Which started off so smooth, not feeling sick at all!! Well sad to say that was short lived! By the time we were pulling in at the house I was running towards the bathroom. :( I am glad I decorated it nicely because it has become a permanent residence for me lately!:) haha.

My appointment is on Tuesday so I am sure I will have some more updates for you then!!

Scott and Abby plus a Baby!

Well Father's Day weekend was quite an exciting one for us! Not just celebrating our Dads and Grandfathers but we also found out that we will be parents! It was quite a surprise and it took some time to gather ourselves from the shock of it all but now we are so excited and ready to start this new chapter in our lives.

Things were going quite swimmingly, besides the extreme tiredness, until last night when my body decided that I wasn't feeling icky enough. Needless to say I have been so sick since last night!:( Not only that but I have been able to display a wide array of moods. Moods that can change from literally one second to the next. Poor Scott is so worried because I am getting good at randomly crying and having no reason for it. I try to explain it but when I don't exactly know why I am doing it, its difficult!

I will try and keep everyone updated on all the happenings in our life with the new addition to the Hoopingarner Family!:)
